Informatory traffic signs are very common in our lives, yet we often overlook them. However, traffic signs are crucial for drivers. Today, Qixiang will briefly introduce the lifespan and uses of informatory traffic signs.
I. Lifespan of informatory traffic signs
The lifespan of informatory traffic signs is typically affected by factors such as the reflective film, the thickness of the aluminum plate, and the quality of the post. The most important factor is the reflective film.
When purchasing informatory traffic signs, customers generally focus on the price, followed by the quality, which essentially means the lifespan of the informatory traffic sign.
Commonly used reflective film grades for road traffic signs include engineering grade, super engineering grade, high-intensity grade, and ultra-high-intensity grade. Their reflective effects differ, as do their lifespans, and naturally, the price increases with the grade. Engineering grade reflective film generally has a lifespan of 7 years and can be used in rural roads, residential areas, etc. Super engineering grade, high-intensity grade, and ultra-high-intensity grade reflective film generally have a lifespan of 10 years and are used on urban main roads, highways, etc.
Informatory traffic signs’ lifespan is also impacted by their usage environment. For instance, compared to indoor signs, outdoor signs are less durable. For the same quality, common underground parking lot signs frequently last longer because they are rarely exposed to sunlight.
II. Informatory traffic sign production method
1. Material Cutting: Prepare the raw materials and evaluate and cut the materials for the posts, aluminum plates, and reflective film in accordance with the drawings.
2. Base Film Application: In accordance with the design and specifications, apply the base film to the cut aluminum plates. Directional signs are blue, warning signs are yellow, prohibition signs are white, and instruction signs are white.
3. Engraving: To cut out the necessary text, experts use a computer-aided engraving machine.
4. Applying the Letters: In accordance with the design specifications, apply the lettering that has been cut out using reflective film to the aluminum plate that has base film applied. The surface must be spotless, the lettering straight, and devoid of wrinkles and bubbles.
5. Inspection: Verify a perfect match between the drawings and the signboard that has already been attached.
6. For small signs, the board can be attached to the post at the manufacturing plant. For large signs, the board can be fixed to the post during installation for easier transport and installation.
III. Uses of informatory traffic signs
(1) Warning signs warn vehicles and pedestrians of dangerous locations;
(2) Prohibitory signs prohibit or restrict the traffic behavior of vehicles and pedestrians;
(3) Instructional signs indicate the direction of vehicles and pedestrians;
(4) Traffic signs and directional signs convey information about road direction, location, and distance.
We professionally manufacture a full range of traffic facilities, including various traffic signs, intelligent traffic lights, and high-strength traffic light poles. Our signs use high-reflective film and thickened aluminum plates, making them sun-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and providing clear nighttime warnings; our traffic lights are equipped with intelligent control chips, offering sensitive response and adaptability to complex road conditions; our traffic light poles are made of high-quality steel, hot-dip galvanized for rust prevention, and are durable for over 20 years. There is support for custom functions, sizes, and patterns. In order to maintain strict quality control, we have our own production line. Factory prices, quick delivery, and nationwide logistics are all benefits of bulk purchases.
The first step in road safety is making good choices! Engineering firms and local governments are encouraged to contact us in order to collaborate and jointly take advantage of new transportation construction opportunities!
