City road signs appear in various aspects of our lives, with road warning signs being particularly frequent. So, how much do you know about city road warning signs? Below, Qixiang will introduce the placement and requirements for city road warning signs to deepen your understanding.
I. The Meaning of City Road Warning Signs
City road signs are mainly divided into five types: prohibition signs, warning signs, instruction signs, information signs, and other signs. Warning signs, also called road warning signs, are a very important type of city road sign.
Road Warning Signs: Signs that warn vehicles and pedestrians of dangerous locations; they are generally placed in workplaces prone to accidents or with high risks. Warning signs are yellow with black borders and black symbols, and are equilateral triangles with the apex pointing upwards. Drivers should pay attention upon seeing a warning sign, drive cautiously, and slow down.
II. Requirements for the Placement of City Road Warning Signs
The placement of road warning signs usually has certain requirements.
(1) First, road warning signs must be manufactured strictly according to national standards. Materials must meet specifications, as road signs are used for traffic maintenance, and non-compliance can have serious consequences. For example, the thickness of the aluminum plate, the level of reflective film, the standards of the track and clamps, and the standards of the foundation must all be inspected and approved before use.
(2) Secondly, the application scenarios for road warning signs are diverse. They can be used on power lines, construction signs, in conjunction with posts, sometimes hung on wire mesh, and sometimes affixed to walls. Each scenario requires proper securing of the road warning signs to prevent them from falling and endangering pedestrians.
In fact, construction work is very arduous for workers because following a set procedure is complicated. Therefore, efficiency is crucial. In winter, the cold weather must be overcome, and in summer, the heat must be overcome. The following is a detailed description of the sign construction process for workers.
(1) Based on the design drawings, use a total station to locate and lay out the foundation pit.
(2) Lay out the detailed foundation pit according to the design drawings. After excavation, it should reach the size and depth shown in the drawings. If there is disturbance on the excavation surface, increase the excavation volume to meet the design requirements. Double column foundations cannot be constructed simultaneously.
(3) After the foundation pit passes inspection, begin pouring the corresponding grade and thickness of concrete cushion layer. Then, erect the exposed portion and 15cm below the top of the foundation pit formwork, place and tie the structural reinforcement, and tie the positioning anchor bolts.
(4) After the formwork and reinforcement have passed inspection by the supervising engineer, begin pouring C25 concrete. During pouring, compact in layers and vibrate evenly. Smooth the top of the foundation and remove the formwork after the concrete reaches 85% strength.
(5) Assign dedicated personnel to cure the concrete foundation.
(6) Backfill soil in layers and compact it, leveling it with the surrounding ground.
(7) Begin installing the traffic signboard: Main equipment and installation process required for column installation: one 8T crane, one aerial work platform, and one transport vehicle. For double-column and single-column structures, we plan to transport the columns directly to the construction site after galvanizing, and then install them on the corresponding pile number using an 8T crane. For single-cantilever structures, the panels will be fixed to the columns and beams before being installed together using a crane.
