Functions of parking signs

Traffic signs are present in every corner of our lives. No matter where we go, they are ubiquitous, always maintaining traffic safety and giving us a sense of security. They convey road information in a vivid, simple, and specific way. There are many types of signs; today Qixiang will mainly talk about parking signs.

Blue P sign

Parking space markings, timed parking signs, and the blue P sign with white lettering are the main indicators of whether parking is allowed. The categories include the following:

Regular Parking Space Signs: Parking is always allowed here, with no time restrictions, according to a blue P sign with white lettering.

Time-Limited Parking Signs: Time-limited signs specify a specific time period (for example, 7:00-9:00) during which parking is permitted.

Maximum Parking Time Signs: Time-limited signs indicate the maximum parking time (e.g., 15 minutes); exceeding this time limit is a violation.

Parking Space Markings: Used in conjunction with signs to clearly define the parking area.

Other Designated Parking Spaces: Designated parking spaces for disabled persons, school buses, taxis, etc., must be used in conjunction with designated markings and are for specific vehicles only.

Important Notes: No-parking signs (such as a single solid yellow line) prohibit all forms of parking, including temporary parking. Stop-and-go signs (red octagon) require drivers to come to a complete stop and look around before proceeding; they are not related to temporary parking.

Parking signs serve the following functions

1. To control parking behavior, specify specifics like the length of time you can park, the times you can park, and the areas where you can park.

2. Reduce traffic congestion caused by irresponsible parking and parking space searches in order to improve road traffic flow. Major urban roads and commercial districts are examples of heavily trafficked areas where this is especially helpful.

3. To prevent traffic obstruction by blocking driveways or sidewalks, clearly mark parking lot entrances, roadside parking spaces, and no-parking zones with signage. This will guide vehicles to the proper locations in a methodical manner.

4. Put up “No Parking” signs in key places, such as schools, hospitals, and intersections, to prevent cars from obstructing views and traffic flow. This will reduce the likelihood of collisions and serve as a reminder to drivers to watch out for pedestrians and non-motorized vehicles.

5. Providing a legal basis for traffic police, urban management, and other departments; standardizing signs to clearly define infractions; and permitting the use of smart parking systems to raise the standard for intelligent traffic management.

Qixiang offers direct factory supply without intermediaries and specializes in traffic sign manufacturing and wholesale! We use carefully chosen aluminum plates and imported reflective film (available in engineering grade, high intensity grade, and diamond grade). These materials have strong weather resistance, high reflectivity, and stable operation in temperatures between -40°C and 60°C. They are appropriate for a variety of situations, such as urban roads, highways, scenic locations, and factory areas. The text and patterns are unambiguous, consistent, and have burr-free, smooth edges. The signs have strong adhesion, are resistant to fading, and last more than ten years thanks to the use of CNC cutting, hydraulic bending, and high-temperature lamination processes. In addition to offering custom sizes, patterns, text, and mounting brackets, we are capable of managing large engineering orders. With a daily production capacity of more than 500 sets, our factory guarantees timely and reliable delivery. The manufacturer sets our prices directly! Purchasing agents, municipal departments, and traffic engineering firms are all welcome to ask questions and request samples. We offer volume discounts as well as thorough after-sales support. Together, let’s establish a secure driving environment!
